Acknowledgement

The portal of statistical information came into existence thanks to the project of the Council of Development Fund of CESNET. The aim of the project was to create access to sources of statistical information, both in printed and in electronic form. Allotted financial resources were used for the creation of web pages, design of database with records of statistical resources, purchase of software which enables access to information resources so that mandatory licence conditions could be met, and for digitalization of selected statistical monographs. In compliance with conditions given by the Council of Development Fund, Charles University in Prague, CERGE also participated financially in the project.
